In our daily life, UPI became an oxygen for everyone…Am I right? From having a cup of coffee to dinner, we are using the QR code scan in every place and every time. The problem here is that the money is being debited from our savings account, but we are not receiving any returns. But when we use the credit card, we will get rewards, improves credit score and liquidity also.

Let’s discuss the trending topic, CRED IndusInd Bank RuPay Credit Card. It’s like a game-changer because it works based on the RuPay network. It’s like a process where we can directly link the UPI apps like CRED, Google Pay, PhonePe and scan it and make the payments. In this post, we will discuss the design, rewards, fees and its pros and cons.

1. The Power of RuPay: Credit Card + UPI.

In India, after the RuPay revolution, the style of Credit Card usage was totally changed. In earlier times, a credit card is like a physical swipe or by entering details in an online portal. But now, IndusInd Bank and CRED collaborated and launched this card. If the vendor has no money, you can use the UPI scan upto its credit limit.

Why is it special?

Convenience : If you forget your wallet, then you can use it through your phone.
Credit Cycle: You can get a time period of 45 -50 days to settle the bill.
Reward Points: In a normal UPI app, we won’t receive many rewards, but here we will definitely receive the reward points.

2. Design and First Impression: Premium Look & Feel

When we hear the word “Cred”, the first thing that comes to our mind is “Aesthetics”.This card is designed very minimally and is premium. This card comes with an Industrial finish, which gives an elite look. In general, IndusInd Bank releases conventional cards, but this card, which is collaborated with CRED, is specially crafted with the digital-native community. This card is not only a physical card but also generates a virtual card as well.

3. Reward Structure: How do we receive profits?

This card is purely rewards-focused. If you are a crazy online shopping person, then this card is for you. The reward system purely depends on CRED points.

5% Cashback on Online Shopping:If you are doing online shopping on major e-commerce websites like Amazon, Flipkart, and Myntra. Then you will definitely receive a 5% cash back.

Limit: We can use a maximum of 5,000 reward points in a month.
Example: If you shop for worth Rs.20,000, then we will get 1000 reward points

5% Back on CRED Ecosystem:If we use the CRED Pay, CRED Store, and CRED Travel services in a CRED pay, then we will definitely get a 5% reward points. As this is the travel season, we can get these reward points on hotel and flight bookings.

1% Back on Offline & UPI Spends:If we make payments like Current bills, gas bills or insurance premiums in the CRED app, then we will get 1% of rewards points.
Offline Swipes: If we swipe a card in a shop, then we will get a 1% of reward points.
Scan & Pay: If we scan & pay in the CRED app, then we will get 1% reward points.
Capping: There is a limit on usage of 500 points per month
Utility Bills & Insurance

4. Point Value Decoded: 1 Point = How much?

Most people ask, “The reward points are good, but what is their value?”. Here is a twist: the value of the reward points depends on the way you redeem the points.

Travel Bookings (Hotels/Flights): 1 CRED Point = ₹1. (Full Value!)
2. CRED Store Purchases: 1 CRED Point = ₹1.
3. Credit Card Bill Payments: 1 CRED Point = ₹0.50.
4. Utility Bills: 1 CREDIT Point = ₹0.50

Expert Tip: If we use the reward points in any of the bill payment the value gets reduced to half. But if we can use those reward points in our bookings, then we can enjoy a free vacation.
